Lambda Upsilon Sigma to Host 5th Annual Debutante Cotillion

Plano, Texas August 26, 2019 – The ladies of the Lambda Upsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. will host its 5th Annual Pearls of Promise Debutante Cotillion on Sunday, April 26, 2020. The Cotillion marks the culmination of the chapter’s debutante program. Established in 2015, the Pearls of Promise Debutante Program recognizes exceptional young women who excel academically, serve as role models to their peers, and are future leaders of our community. It presents to college admissions officers and future employers that she is an active leader in her school and community and is a highly respected young woman who is committed to programs which serve others. Debutantes also develop a connection with members of the Sorority who are proven high achievers and invaluable resources for life. Through the program, debutantes undertake a six month long educational program that focused on leadership development, personal development, networking, and mentoring.


The Cotillion will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Slate Venues t II Creeks at six o'clock in the evening. The formal affair will feature a live musical performance and classical and contemporary dance performances by the debutantes with their escorts and fathers. Lambda Upsilon Sigma will award scholarships to each debutante before crowning the Queen of the 2020 Pearls of Promise Debutante Program.
