Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.
The event helps build awareness and support for nonprofits like nothing else. In 2018, over $48 million was raised through more than 157,000 gifts benefiting 2,700 local nonprofits, bringing the ten-year total to over $240 million for our community. North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. During North Texas Giving Day, everyone has the opportunity to be a philanthropist to build a stronger and more vibrant community.
Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day gives us a chance to introduce our organization to a new audience and raise funds to keep our mission going. This year we are asking you to join us by creating a FUNdraising page on LUSCEF's behalf to share with your networks about why our organization is important to you.
This year's event will take place on September 19th and we have a goal of raising $1,922 during North Texas Giving Day.
Will you help us reach that goal?
Creating a FUNdraising page is quick, easy, and can make a huge impact on our organization. For more information on how to sign up and what you can do to make your FUNdraising page successful view this FUNdraiser Toolkit.
We hope that you will join us so that we can make a bigger impact on our North Texas community
About LUSCEF
The Lambda Upsilon Sigma Charitable & Educational Foundation (LUSCEF) serves as the charitable arm of the Lambda Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Established in 2017, LUSCEF is a 501(c)(3) organization and is the primary funder of the chapter's service programs which focus on youth empowerment, health and wellness, and educational enrichment. Our efforts support building the foundation for the next generation through introducing community service, through Liberating thought, Unified sisterhood and Synergy. LUSCEF also provides scholarships to deserving and exemplary college-bound high school seniors and continuing college students in North Texas.
Since its chartering, Lambda Upsilon Sigma has worked tirelessly to impact its service area through implementation of the Sorority's national programs and spearheading local initiatives to address additional issues that specifically impact Collin & Denton counties. The Chapter has contributed more than 10,000 hours of service, awarded nearly $35,000 in scholarships, and bestowed more than $36,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to local charities since the chapter's inception.
